26th Conference of the Nordic Sociological Association
15-18 August 2012, University of Iceland, Reykjavik

Many countries have experienced major social changes following the international financial crisis and
its political repercussions. Trust is one of the key concepts that has been at the top of public agendas
and at the centre of academic debates. Therefore, the conference will emphasize the concept of trust in
various contexts, making it the point of departure for a wide-ranging discussion of its post-crisis rebuild
and reconceptualization. The conference aims to expand our grasp and our knowledge of societal trust
and the on-going social changes from many different angles and various academic approaches. We
welcome you to take part in these discussions.
